Planting Timelines

    - Beetroot seeds can be sowed directly outdoors into soil beds from mid-Spring
    - Water soil before sowing to avoid disturbing the seeds once planted
    - Create drills/trenches in your soil so the seeds are approx half and inch deep
    - Sow seeds approx. 4 inches apart
    - Space rows approx. 12 inches apart
    - Cover the seeds and gently pat down to firm the soil
    - Seeds take approx. 2 weeks to germinate before seedlings appear through the soil
    - After about 8 weeks, the plants should be approx. 8 inches tall, with the beginnings of the beetroots appearing on the surface of the soil
    - Water regularly to keep the soil moist
    - Both the root vegetable and the leaves can be harvesting for eating
